Mandate

The particle physics community has been asked to ramp up its R&D effort focused on advanced accelerator technologies, in particular that for high-field superconducting magnets, including high-temperature superconductors Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics (CERN/3493/C/Rev). In response to this request CERN, together with large national laboratories and other institutes, has initiated in 2021 the High Field Magnets R&D (HFM) Program.
