RD2 - HTS Conductors and HTS Technologies 

The main goals of the RD2 Line are:

• Procure conductors for the magnet program, including extensive characterization measurements. Present Focus is on ReBCO
• Develop ReBCO conductors in R&D laboratories
• Explore the potential of promising new materials, e.g. iron based superconductors
• Explore HTS magnet technology at for accelerator main dipoles in the 14 to 20 T range
